If Robustiano Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Patrick Eggenschwiler made a precise shot to the right of Artemio Pio. Manteca atlétic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Claudio Atarratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 11 minutes into the match, Patrick Eggenschwiler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artemio Pio. Manteca atlétic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrick Eggenschwiler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. With a little luck, Manteca atlétic's Artemio Pio got control of the ball when Patrick Eggenschwiler tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute, Patrick Eggenschwiler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artemio Pio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. A collision led to Manteca atlétic getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Hilario Lander hit a great ball. Kristóf Gulyás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Lander in the 25th minute of play. When Patrick Eggenschwiler, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 26 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Artemio Pio was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Patrick Eggenschwiler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Artemio Pio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kristóf Gulyás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Mannuel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Patrick Eggenschwiler came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the FRANCORCHAMPS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Eggenschwiler couldn't finish the play. Patrick Eggenschwiler might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artemio Pio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrick Eggenschwiler ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrick Eggenschwiler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 59 minutes, Benicio Mannuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manteca atlétic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benicio Mannuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd match minute, Manteca atlétic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Lander to maneuver through the defense. Artemio Pio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Eggenschwiler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudio Atarratze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Candido Herena fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FRANCORCHAMPS's protests and gave Candido Herena a yellow card for diving instead. Artemio Pio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Eggenschwiler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Eggenschwiler in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artemio Pio saved Manteca atlétic from getting behind. Benicio Mannuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristóf Gulyás having to interfere. Isaias Gonzo scored 4-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artemio Pio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FRANCORCHAMPS's Patrick Eggenschwiler got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FRANCORCHAMPS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
