In the 5th minute, Evelio Oxel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Jesus Edwardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zacarias Salvator was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Damian Sagrario kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE's Alberto Argider got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Florentino Rumaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Janpier having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Edwardo in the 20th minute of play forced Esquel's goalkeeper Zacarias Salvator to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Argider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Bidun kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 26 minutes of play SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE's Alberto Bidun was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The audience thought a goal was coming when Efrain Theodore got free with Arnaldo Janpier in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iker Victoro hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Jesus Edwardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Efrain Theodore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Janpier having to interfere. Esquel's Zacarias Salvator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Edwardo in the 42nd minute of play. Alberto Argider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jesus Edwardo made a kick off. Esquel's Zacarias Salvator proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Esquel from getting a goal against them. Ambrosio Librado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Zacarias Salvator tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Efrain Theodore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jesus Edwardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Edwardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Salvator having to interfere. If Ambrosio Librado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Edwardo struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Zacarias Salvator didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE. Florentino Rumaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jesus Edwardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Florentino Rumaldo came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Esquel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florentino Rumaldo couldn't finish the play. After 94 minutes of play, Esquel's Florentino Rumaldo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnaldo Janpier was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
