After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Tigre's zone, Orlando Primeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Nesto came out of the goal and Orlando Primeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd match minute, Lagunillas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Corderro to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Gallardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigio Donnarumma was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Anibal Nesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Primeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Gallardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Atlético Tigre's Anibal Nesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Primeiro in the 28th minute of play. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Tigre defense, Orlando Primeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anibal Nesto. The Club Atlético Tigre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anibal Nesto should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Club Atlético Tigre getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Aytaç Erbay hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Orlando Primeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Orlando Primeiro made the kick off in the second half. If Norberto Idacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norberto Idacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Nesto having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Witalis Mleczewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orlando Primeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Anibal Nesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gigio Donnarumma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Gallardo in the 75th minute of the match. Ovidio Inautzi hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute Marcelo Gallardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigio Donnarumma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Norberto Idacio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagunillas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Idacio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Lagunillas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
