After 4 played minutes Papagayos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Perrando. Papagayos AFC's Tobias Cordeara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Gonzo in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Redentor FC's goalkeeper Pascual Atarrabi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clodoveo Amaya. Venancio Ruy charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Venancio Ruy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Papagayos AFC booed when Redentor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Ruy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobias Cordeara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Avellaneda in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute Haroldo Avellaneda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Papagayos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Garcia to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Redentor FC's goalkeeper Pascual Atarrabi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clodoveo Amaya. With a little luck, Redentor FC's Pascual Atarrabi got control of the ball when Clodoveo Amaya tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haroldo Avellaneda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Avellaneda in the 34th minute of play forced Papagayos AFC's goalkeeper Tobias Cordeara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Antonio Baudelio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redentor FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Baudelio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Godfredo Urki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Romeo Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Gonzo in the 43rd minute of play forced Papagayos AFC's goalkeeper Tobias Cordeara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tobias Cordeara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Haroldo Avellaneda went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Gaudencio Pierres kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After having played for 51 minutes, Clodoveo Amaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Papagayos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clodoveo Amaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Antonio Baudelio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tobias Cordeara. That made the score 2-2 in the 54 minute of play. Tobias Cordeara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Baudelio in the 57th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Redentor FC's Venancio Ruy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tobias Cordeara. Tobias Cordeara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. Antonio Baudelio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tobias Cordeara came out and tried to block the shot, but Antonio Baudelio slotted it home off the left post making it 2-6 in the 80th minute. The supporters of Redentor FC booed when Papagayos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Papagayos AFC's Tobias Cordeara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Papagayos AFC from getting a goal against them. Pascual Atarrabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Paublo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
