Edgardo Bryant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Gavino Cordarryl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Club Atletico River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Cordara to maneuver through the defense. Jonatan Tebaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Vasconcelos having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Jonatan Tebaldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Vasconcelos. Club Atletico River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonatan Tebaldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Andres Cuartio struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Júlio Vasconcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Júlio Vasconcelos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Júlio Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Leocadio in the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Quilmes Atlético Club's Andres Cuartio got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute, Carlo Jerano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fidel Leocadio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Júlio Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jonatan Tebaldo sent off a good shot on target. The Club Atletico River Plate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After some careless play in the Quilmes Atlético Club defense, Patricio Vistruario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Cordarryl. The Quilmes Atlético Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Cordarryl should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Edgardo Bryant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Bryant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Cordarryl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gavino Cordarryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Vistruario in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico River Plate's Cristo Cordara got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filiberto Confesor during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico River Plate's Filiberto Confesor got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Club Atletico River Plate support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
