SarmientoFC's Gabriel Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Piarres in the 2nd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Mogigasta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Sotil came free, but Alejo Farias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rigoberto Galoer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejo Farias was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 16th minute, Aurelio Baruffa made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Ekain. SarmientoFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 24th minute, Laureano Fagildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Baruffa in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Ekain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alejo Farias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rigoberto Galoer went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the match, SarmientoFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Baruffa came free, but Gabriel Ekain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mogigasta AFC were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after SarmientoFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ludomir Jeziorkowski took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Aurelio Baruffa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gabriel Ekain quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alejo Farias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Evangelista in the 35th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Mogigasta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Macario to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Ekain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Baruffa, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Baruffa in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Ekain saved SarmientoFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Macerio in the 55th minute of play forced SarmientoFC's goalkeeper Gabriel Ekain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mogigasta AFC's Alejo Farias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Mogigasta AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Macerio in the 58th minute of play forced SarmientoFC's goalkeeper Gabriel Ekain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th match minute, SarmientoFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Evis to maneuver through the defense. Octavio Macerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ekain having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Octavio Macerio made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Ekain. SarmientoFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After 79 played minutes Mogigasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Macario. After a defensive mix-up in Mogigasta AFC's zone, Timoteo Flor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejo Farias came out of the goal and Timoteo Flor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octavio Macerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of SarmientoFC booed when Mogigasta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Macario didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Mogigasta AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rafael Macario hit a great ball. Gabriel Ekain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Macerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octavio Macerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gabriel Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
