Benicio Hulberto kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Anıl Ozan Nezih took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erasmo Ebardo. Club Atlético Elortondo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 6th match minute, Alpino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Furman to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute, Remigio Gaitan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adelio Jubera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Elortondo's goalkeeper Erasmo Ebardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yoash Hammerstein. After recieving a nice pass, Club Atlético Elortondo's Dragan Džajić tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Bilardo got free with Erasmo Ebardo in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Club Atlético Elortondo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Carlos Bilardo 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Carlos Bilardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Erasmo Ebardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benicio Hulberto's late challenge caught a Alpino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benicio Hulberto helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Club Atlético Elortondo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alpino:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dragan Džajić in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adelio Jubera saved Alpino from getting behind. Erasmo Ebardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Bilardo in the 34th minute. Alpino's Adelio Jubera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Sal in the 43rd minute of play. When Emiliano Furman fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alpino's protests and gave Emiliano Furman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alpino getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Emiliano Furman hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Alpino's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Colon came free, but Adelio Jubera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiberto Colon charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filiberto Colon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Filiberto Colon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Elortondo's goalkeeper Erasmo Ebardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yoash Hammerstein. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Elortondo's zone, Anıl Ozan Nezih stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Ebardo came out of the goal and Anıl Ozan Nezih tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yoash Hammerstein might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erasmo Ebardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yoash Hammerstein ran back to his position shaking his head. Alpino's Adelio Jubera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Alpino from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yoash Hammerstein during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Alpino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yoash Hammerstein to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragan Džajić in the 73rd minute of play forced Alpino's goalkeeper Adelio Jubera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Carlos Bilardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Ebardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Alpino booed when Club Atlético Elortondo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Chinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Elortondo made a substitution. Enrique Gaztea replaced Filiberto Colon. In the 77th match minute, Club Atlético Elortondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Chinto to maneuver through the defense. After 78 played minutes, Alpino's Anıl Ozan Nezih shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erasmo Ebardo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alpino reached it. 80 minutes into the match, Carlos Bilardo notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Club Atlético Elortondo's Erasmo Ebardo. Erasmo Ebardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Erasmo Ebardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yoash Hammerstein went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. Yoash Hammerstein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Erasmo Ebardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yoash Hammerstein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adelio Jubera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Chinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Carlos Bilardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erasmo Ebardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Bilardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Bilardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Ebardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
