In the 7th minute Freddy Lonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Froila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victorino Ubelteso hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Alejo Birjaio made in the 9th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Victorino Jon immediately put the ball in play. After having played for 10 minutes, Albino Remir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zarlanga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Remir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Obligado FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Feliciano Suero hit a great ball. Freddy Lonzo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Natalio Froila came out and tried to block the shot, but Freddy Lonzo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. After 38 played minutes Obligado FC got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Suero. 40 minutes into the match, Obligado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Remir came free, but Ceferino Guillerme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, Zarlanga's Osvaldo Laffitte made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ceferino Guillerme was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osvaldo Laffitte struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Ceferino Guillerme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zarlanga. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osvaldo Laffitte to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Zarlanga's Emanuel Paskal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emanuel Paskal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zarlanga protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emanuel Paskal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Emanuel Paskal kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Remir in the 58th minute of play forced Obligado FC's goalkeeper Ceferino Guillerme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Ivan Lucian fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ceferino Guillerme, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Remir in the 60th minute of play forced Obligado FC's goalkeeper Ceferino Guillerme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Obligado FC's goalkeeper Ceferino Guillerme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Feliciano Suero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Lucian kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Natalio Froila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Intxixu in the 86th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Enrique Intxixu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Obligado FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Intxixu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Albino Remir came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Zarlanga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Remir couldn't finish the play.
