Sovieticos F.C's Justo Felipo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgilio Lugo in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruperto Estevez saved Sovieticos F.C from getting behind. Julian Egoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Nalo in the 14th minute of the match. Neanderthal's Julian Egoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Nalo in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Sovieticos F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loren Goycoa to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute of the match Romulo Bladi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruperto Estevez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Neanderthal getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Cecilio Selmo hit a great ball. Ruperto Estevez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Lugo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Pim Pero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Florin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Ernesto Nalo made the kick off in the second half. Pim Pero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruperto Estevez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Loren Goycoa charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Loren Goycoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Loren Goycoa kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Pim Pero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ruperto Estevez, 1-1. Neanderthal made a substitution. Lino Liher replaced Pim Pero. Benjamin Florin's late challenge caught a Sovieticos F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Florin helped the player get up and apologised. Benjamin Florin kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Neanderthal made a substitution. Isaac Lehen replaced Romulo Bladi. The supporters of Sovieticos F.C booed when Neanderthal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Florin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Egoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Nalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Lino Liher took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Ruperto Estevez to make any attempt to save it. The Neanderthal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Neanderthal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
