In the 20th minute Cayetano Florin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Urtungo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Gabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute of the match Zacarias Santikurtz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niceto Urtungo skillfully saved the ball. Zacarias Santikurtz hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Cesar Napier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabi Arias having to interfere. The supporters of Sitón AFC booed when Sangrion FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Otsoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Uriel Aguilera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niceto Urtungo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Gabino in the 43rd minute of play. If Enzo Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enzo Pio to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Cesar Napier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabi Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Napier in the 63rd minute of play forced Sitón AFC's goalkeeper Gabi Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Sangrion FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sitón AFC:s goal. The referee gave Sitón AFC a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hernan Tab, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sangrion FC's Niceto Urtungo. 2-1. Hernan Tab scored 3-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niceto Urtungo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Badarisaila Tur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Urtungo having to interfere. Sangrion FC's Niceto Urtungo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Florin in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Sitón AFC's goalkeeper Gabi Arias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enzo Pio. If Enzo Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 102nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sitón AFC fully deserved thier win.
