The audience thought a goal was coming when Diki Schoenmakers got free with Baltasar Huly in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauricio Estavan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Diki Schoenmakers could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Baltasar Huly however easily saved by the left post. Teodosio Eztebe kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Baltasar Huly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Peli in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Real River Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prudencio Euloxu to maneuver through the defense. Baltasar Huly was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Diki Schoenmakers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diki Schoenmakers really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 19th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleuterio Abella to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Florentino Quinteros in the 24th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Independiente's Zacarias Juvenal. In the 27th minute, Diki Schoenmakers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baltasar Huly was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Baltasar Huly made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Diki Schoenmakers sent off a good shot on target. Real River Madrid's Baltasar Huly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Peli in the 31st minute of play. Baltasar Huly made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diki Schoenmakers in the 46th minute. Baltasar Huly was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Francisco Peli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francisco Peli really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Estavan was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute of the match Independiente got a corner. Real River Madrid's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zacarias Juvenal ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Independiente's corner Zacarias Juvenal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Baltasar Huly quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diki Schoenmakers in the 62nd minute of play forced Real River Madrid's goalkeeper Baltasar Huly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prudencio Euloxu hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 79 minutes of play, Independiente's Diki Schoenmakers made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baltasar Huly was left in no man's land by his defense there! 85 minutes into the match, Mauricio Estavan notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Independiente's Enzo Marin. Enzo Marin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Bartolo Orlandus fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real River Madrid's protests and gave Bartolo Orlandus a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Independiente booed when Real River Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Orlandus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltasar Huly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Havier, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Enzo Marin made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Mauricio Estavan sent off a good shot on target. Enzo Marin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Estavan in the 94th minute of the match. A hard shot 96 in the game by Mauricio Estavan from a close distance when the talented Enzo Marin managed to make a qualified save. Independiente's players were relieved. 98 minutes into the match, Real River Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Peli came free, but Baltasar Huly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real River Madrid's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
