Melchor Laurin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After 39 played minutes Collipilli got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Maore. Alfredão Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Musceleanu in the 42nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Maore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melchor Laurin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Aznaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
