Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) David Gaitan made the kick off and thus started the match. Mattia Scarpone hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Natalio Cayo charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natalio Cayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, LA RIBERA's Natalio Cayo got a free kick in the 4th minute. The supporters of Orlando Pirates booed when LA RIBERA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Breogan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natalio Cayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edison Smoothy having to interfere. Natalio Cayo got his second yellow card in the match during the 21st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 22nd match minute, LA RIBERA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Cayo to maneuver through the defense. After 26 minutes of play, LA RIBERA's David Gaitan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edison Smoothy was left in no man's land by his defense there! If David Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Jeremias Veremundo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orlando Pirates's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Veremundo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Guerrero to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Orlando Pirates's goal looked a bit too open when David Gaitan came free, but Edison Smoothy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Juan Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Gimenez's late challenge caught a Orlando Pirates's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidro Gimenez helped the player get up and apologised. Orlando Pirates's Edison Smoothy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Orlando Pirates from getting a goal against them. Dalmacio Breogan made in the 75th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nicolas Txilar. LA RIBERA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
