In the 28th minute Troizen Von Bischhoffshausen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laureles Argentinos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Troizen Von Bischhoffshausen scored to the left of an out of position Evaristo Elizardo, making the score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Troizen Von Bischhoffshausen got free with Evaristo Elizardo in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laureles Argentinos's goalkeeper Evaristo Elizardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Jürgen Klinsmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evaristo Elizardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudio Lander was the one to do the kick off. Evaristo Elizardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabian Acosta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laureles Argentinos's Evaristo Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clis Comas in the 68th minute of play. When Fabian Acosta came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Laureles Argentinos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Acosta couldn't finish the play. Alejandro Blasi hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 79th match minute, Rayo Vallecano. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulgencio Quico to maneuver through the defense. After 83 played minutes Laureles Argentinos got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Blasi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Quico in the 84th minute of play forced Laureles Argentinos's goalkeeper Evaristo Elizardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laureles Argentinos's Evaristo Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Troizen Von Bischhoffshausen in the 85th minute of play.
