The crowd rose to their feet as Laureles Argentinos's Cristobal Checa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Faustino Horado. That made the score 2-0 after 18 minutes of play. If Rosendo Enaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofilo Lope hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Claudio Lander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes Laureles Argentinos got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Lander. ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Laureles Argentinos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. In the 46th minute of the match Augusto Austin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evaristo Elizardo skillfully saved the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Cristobal Checa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faustino Horado. ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristobal Checa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Evaristo Elizardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Quin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Laureles Argentinos's goalkeeper Evaristo Elizardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alonzo Perfecto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
