Maximino Montez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Firme in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Bonifacio Rumaldo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tellier's Ray Clemence. Ray Clemence was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Henderson FC. booed when Tellier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Gaxan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute Elpidio Vedillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Tellier's Evelio Firme slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maximino Montez. That made the score 1-1 after 25 minutes of play. Ray Clemence stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bonifacio Rumaldo's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. A nice corner shot did that Álvaro Morales got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maximino Montez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38th minute of the match, Placido Henrico tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maximino Montez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Henderson FC.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pastor Phelipe was slow to take the kick. During this time Tellier's players had a chance to rest. In the 39th match minute, Tellier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Vedillo to maneuver through the defense. Tellier's Ray Clemence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Rumaldo in the 42nd minute of play. Ray Clemence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho Fernandes in the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Vedillo in the 46th minute of play forced Henderson FC.'s goalkeeper Maximino Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Bonifacio Rumaldo made the kick off in the second half. Maximino Montez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Vedillo in the 57th minute of play. Bonifacio Rumaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ray Clemence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximino Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Txatxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Natalio Txatxu took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Montez. Maximino Montez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 69 minutes into the match, Henderson FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Morales came free, but Maximino Montez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Henderson FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Txatxu came free, but Maximino Montez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henderson FC.'s Maximino Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Morales in the 72nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Natalio Txatxu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximino Montez was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Henrico in the 85th minute of play forced Henderson FC.'s goalkeeper Maximino Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiaguinho Fernandes in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray Clemence prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Tellier's zone, Javier Cebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ray Clemence came out of the goal and Javier Cebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henderson FC.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
