In the 17thth minute of the game Rodrigo De Paul who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chacarita Juniors's Jose Arixo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, Pars Kuray made a precise shot to the right of Jose Arixo. Chacarita Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Billy Hilbrands fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chacarita Juniors's protests and gave Billy Hilbrands a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute Paulo Dybala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Arixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Arixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pars Kuray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
