Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Phoenix Athletic's Ildefonso Pasqual started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Phoenix Athletic's goalkeeper Dimitri Leconte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacobo Aritza. In the 8th minute, Edelmiro Pagomari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute, Ildefonso Pasqual ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Eladio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Santiago Eladio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Pasqual, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Aritza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dimitri Leconte made a huge save. After 19 played minutes Abiogenesis got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Kimetz. Abiogenesis's Santiago Eladio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Pasqual in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st minute, Ildefonso Pasqual left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phoenix Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Ildefonso Pasqual hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Eladio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Pasqual, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Phoenix Athletic were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Abiogenesis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edelmiro Pagomari took the corner. After having played for 29 minutes, Edelmiro Pagomari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Pagomari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Lucio Roldanillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phoenix Athletic's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Roldanillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Eladio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Athletic's Efrain Ieltxu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Abiogenesis booed when Phoenix Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Pasqual didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernan Orlondon to strike the kick off in the second half. If Jacobo Aritza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitri Leconte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Austin in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match Abiogenesis got a corner. Phoenix Athletic's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Delmar Libertad ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Abiogenesis's corner Eleuterio Iraido fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dimitri Leconte quite easily take care of the ball. Dimitri Leconte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Aritza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Phoenix Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Orlondon came free, but Dimitri Leconte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Roldanillo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd match minute, Abiogenesis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Pinto to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Alfredo Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Eladio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Roldanillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Abiogenesis's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Roldanillo came free, but Santiago Eladio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Cristo Maju notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Phoenix Athletic's Dimitri Leconte. Dimitri Leconte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rd match minute, Phoenix Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Ieltxu to maneuver through the defense. Froilan Quintana struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Dimitri Leconte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abiogenesis.
