With his leg Elias Honesto managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when LA MERCED F.C.'s Andrey Shevchenko fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 7 minutes into the game, LA MERCED F.C.'s Luisito Sanchez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elias Honesto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, LA MERCED F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Sauveur came free, but Pablo Socorro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Honesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Mino in the 13th minute of the match. Atlético San Martín were furious when Felipe Buinton was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for LA MERCED F.C.. Dario Marzulli stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Elias Honesto. 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Mala Mucha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Luisito Sanchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Honesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pablo Socorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Quilino, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Elias Honesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Sanchez in the 30th minute of the match. Atlético San Martín's Elias Honesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Sanchez in the 32nd minute of play. Atlético San Martín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrey Shevchenko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fermin Mino made the kick off in the second half. Elias Honesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Mino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateush Berozko hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Elias Honesto didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when LA MERCED F.C.'s Fermin Mino shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 7-0 in the ordered_time% minute. LA MERCED F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
