An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Iratxo in the 2nd minute of play forced Chaco For Ever's goalkeeper Manotham Grandessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Plaza Jewell's Freddy Amato got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Chaco For Ever booed when Plaza Jewell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zabal Ubeda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Plaza Jewell's goalkeeper Pablo Mei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Paulo Teles. Manotham Grandessa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Cresconio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manotham Grandessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Amato, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Fabio Cresconio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Manotham Grandessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo Mei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Belarmo in the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Chaco For Ever's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Roland came free, but Manotham Grandessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Cristian Chivu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pablo Mei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Quintun in the 41st minute of the match. In the 46th minute Fabio Cresconio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manotham Grandessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Federico Belarmo's late challenge caught a Plaza Jewell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Federico Belarmo helped the player get up and apologised. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Chaco For Ever's Manotham Grandessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Cresconio in the 70th minute of play. In the 74thth minute of the game Freddy Amato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chaco For Ever's Manotham Grandessa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 76 minutes, Lorenzo Mancio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Plaza Jewell and the Chaco For Ever players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Plaza Jewell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Mancio to maneuver through the defense.
