Leonides Medardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Erauso, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Stellan Falck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Medardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Leonides Medardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Arotza in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Camilo Arotza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonides Medardo. San Lorenzo de Mar del's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camilo Arotza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Leonides Medardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camilo Arotza in the 56th minute. When Camilo Arotza came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the K.A.N.O. FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Arotza couldn't finish the play. After having played for 61 minutes, Camilo Arotza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. K.A.N.O. FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Camilo Arotza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, K.A.N.O. FC's Camilo Arotza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonides Medardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5.
