If Rareș Feraru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, ZarA A.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Bastos came free, but Cristobal Felipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alaaddin Uchiha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Feraru, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute of the match ZarA A.C got a corner. River Plate's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gavino Tabor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of River Plate's goalie and right to Hermelando Bustunzuria. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. River Plate's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 29 minutes into the match, Rareș Feraru dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alaaddin Uchiha, 1-0. Cristobal Felipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Cidro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Jean Finley hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Bastos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rareș Feraru hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes of play, ZarA A.C's Rareș Feraru made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alaaddin Uchiha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martín Palermo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Alaaddin Uchiha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. River Plate made a substitution. Tytus Juroszek replaced Alfredo Bastos. Alaaddin Uchiha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Feraru in the 64th minute of play. Tytus Juroszek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Cristobal Felipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Martín Palermo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alaaddin Uchiha was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rareș Feraru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 88 minutes into the game, Martín Palermo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Alaaddin Uchiha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. River Plate's Alaaddin Uchiha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rareș Feraru in the 93rd minute of play. River Plate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
