Dante Leizarraga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Brun in the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Francisco Luix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horquilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Luix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Firme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute Daniel Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Leizarraga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernan Firme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Luix in the 12th minute of the match. Tobias Horado charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobias Horado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dante Leizarraga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cícero Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Dante Leizarraga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Brun's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Horquilla's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Moura came free, but Dante Leizarraga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Cícero Moura notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Horquilla's Dante Leizarraga. Dante Leizarraga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the match, Horquilla's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Brun came free, but Dante Leizarraga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Horquilla defense, Cícero Moura kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Leizarraga. The Horquilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Leizarraga should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the game, Daniel Brun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dante Leizarraga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergio Rayman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Unión y Progreso Tandil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Brun to maneuver through the defense. Unión y Progreso Tandil's Daniel Brun got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Horquilla got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Sagrario. If Cícero Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Luix in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Horquilla getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Francisco Luix hit a great ball. Dante Leizarraga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cícero Moura in the 80th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Unión y Progreso Tandil's Carlos Urtungo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Leizarraga. That made the score 0-5 after 81 minutes of play. Dante Leizarraga came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Unión y Progreso Tandil's Carlos Urtungo. But to his dismay, Carlos Urtungo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. A collision led to Horquilla getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Claes Ekenberg hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Unión y Progreso Tandil's zone, Remigio Dominguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Firme came out of the goal and Remigio Dominguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernan Firme had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Tobias Horado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 96th minute, Tobias Horado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Horquilla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6.
