Club Atletico Olimpo's Eustacio Mergildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Ramond in the 33rd minute of play. Nicolaas Anelka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eustacio Mergildo having to make a save. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Battal Gazi Özdil sped through Club Atletico Olimpo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eustacio Mergildo. A collision led to Club Atletico Olimpo getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Julian Iraido hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Sebastian Padro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eustacio Mergildo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 46 minutes into the game, Battal Gazi Özdil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Eustacio Mergildo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 67th minute, Battal Gazi Özdil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eustacio Mergildo. The goal made the score 0-6. In the 72nd minute, Éric Féraud ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eustacio Mergildo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amado Ihintza got free with Eustacio Mergildo in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the match, Faustino Osoro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haiko Muradyan. Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustino Osoro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Battal Gazi Özdil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn's supporters rose to their feet, but Battal Gazi Özdil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eustacio Mergildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eustacio Mergildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Battal Gazi Özdil in the 87th minute of the match. In the last second Eustacio Mergildo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Battal Gazi Özdil in the 89thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn:s Haiko Muradyan showed great skill when he stopped Faustino Osoro:s penalty. Faustino Osoro did an outstanding performance 98 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-7 to the right of an irritated Haiko Muradyan in the goal.
