Eustacio Mergildo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Edgar Mara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alvaro Abadia. Confederacion Argentina's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eustacio Mergildo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Saul Koldobika showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 31 minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Confederacion Argentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Matei to maneuver through the defense. Cristobal Primeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eustacio Mergildo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristobal Primeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Alvaro Abadia was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Club Atletico Olimpo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Confederacion Argentina the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Olimpo's Damian Rudolfo got a free kick in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Confederacion Argentina fully deserved thier win.
