In the 5th minute, Ramiro Bautista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Eliseo Benitez in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Del Santo FC's Gaudencio Hernando. After 19 minutes Sp. Mataderos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chucho Cortez who took care of the corner kick. Del Santo FC's Luciano Eleder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Del Santo FC from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute Sp. Mataderos were awarded a corner. Maximiliano Oriche went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Del Santo FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Chucho Cortez hit a great ball. Gaudencio Hernando hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Danilo Abeitia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Mazzini in the 38th minute of the match. Del Santo FC were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Sp. Mataderos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chucho Cortez took the corner. Del Santo FC's Chucho Cortez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Danilo Abeitia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Danilo Abeitia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Bârsan in the 40th minute of the match. Luciano Eleder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leandro Lobo's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Maximino Burni charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Burni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd match minute, Del Santo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Burni to maneuver through the defense. 48 minutes into the match, Del Santo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Lobo came free, but Luciano Eleder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

58 minutes into the match, Leandro Lobo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luciano Eleder. Del Santo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Lobo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 60 minutes, Leandro Lobo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sp. Mataderos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Lobo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucjan Golaszewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Danilo Abeitia made a huge save. 66 minutes into the match, Leandro Lobo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Del Santo FC's Luciano Eleder. Luciano Eleder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute, Maximiliano Oriche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Del Santo FC's Luciano Eleder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Geofredo in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Del Santo FC booed when Sp. Mataderos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Benitez didn't get a good kick on the ball. A very good chance. Del Santo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
