With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Abel in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Cedro saved El fortinero from getting behind. Ivan Cedro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levi Stuyck in the 10th minute of the match. Augusto Justin hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Hermengildo Macario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Micael in the 15th minute of play. Hermengildo Macario made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Nicanor Micael sent off a good shot on target. Ivan Cedro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Porfiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. El fortinero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilfredo Abel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Abel to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, El fortinero's goalkeeper Ivan Cedro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Abel. El fortinero's Ivan Cedro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save El fortinero from getting a goal against them.
