Ezequiel Fidencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaroslaw Gongolewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Tiburcio Romelio came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Alfonso Mejias. But to his dismay, Alfonso Mejias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Paolo Ignazio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Fidencio having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Leo Quin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Serrano FC and the River Plate players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of River Plate booed when Serrano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Quin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
