Bucaramanga F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Escocia the free kick. When Leonel Caponi came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Club Atlético Escocia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Caponi couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes into the game, Bucaramanga F.C's 潘桦宽 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Club Atlético Escocia's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 潘桦宽 in the 9th minute of play. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Intxixu, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 潘桦宽, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim Garre in the 16th minute of play forced Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Caponi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Rodas having to interfere. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 潘桦宽, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Godfredo Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Intxixu in the 51st minute of the match. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Tauro in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serafino Rodas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 61 minutes of play, Club Atlético Escocia's Jonas Tauro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafino Rodas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Escocia's Gaspar Selatse got a free kick in the 68th minute. Club Atlético Escocia made a substitution. Flavio Ricart replaced Narciso Sauveur. Gaspar Selatse kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atlético Escocia getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Gaspar Selatse hit a great ball. Benjamim Garre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri. Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Bucaramanga F.C's Marcial Intxixu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri. That made the score 1-3 after 77 minutes of play. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bucaramanga F.C's Agostinho Neves. But to his dismay, Agostinho Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Bucaramanga F.C's Marcial Intxixu. But to his dismay, Marcial Intxixu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. In the 92nd minute, Titan Nahas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfredo Abascal in the 93rd minute. When Club Atlético Escocia's Titan Nahas in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bucaramanga F.C's goalie prevented a goal. The Bucaramanga F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bucaramanga F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
