Gregorio Fagildo made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Eloy Buinton sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codrin Drăgan during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute, Codrin Drăgan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Perico charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clemente Perico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bryan Au made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Igon in the 38th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Deportivo Diamante U18's goalkeeper Gregorio Fagildo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingo Lauro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Maiorga in the 46th minute of play forced FUNDAMENTALISTAS's goalkeeper Bryan Au to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Milito to strike the kick off in the second half. Gregorio Fagildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Lauro in the 52nd minute of the match. After 57 minutes of play, FUNDAMENTALISTAS's Eloy Buinton made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gregorio Fagildo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Romeo Chepe hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Bryan Au stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Milito's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 79th minute, Ali Topant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregorio Fagildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Lauro in the 87th minute of the match. Bryan Au took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Milito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Domingo Lauro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregorio Fagildo. Deportivo Diamante U18's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingo Lauro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Deportivo Diamante U18's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
