Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Abuba Akotonon FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel-Omar Santirso got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arroyito FC's Carlos Navarro Montoya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Tristan in the 32nd minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti stood somewhat misplaced when Gabriel-Omar Santirso came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 35 minute. Carlos Navarro Montoya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Tristan, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Venancio Etor sent off a good shot on target. Gabriel-Omar Santirso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Hugo Orlando Gatti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Arroyito FC's Gabriel-Omar Santirso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hugo Orlando Gatti. That made the score 2-0 after 42 minutes of play. When J.J Okocha fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abuba Akotonon FC's protests and gave J.J Okocha a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Abuba Akotonon FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! In the 48th minute of the game, Arroyito FC got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
