But to his dismay, Cecilio Tristan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Florencio Rafe sped through Abuba Akotonon FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti. If Florencio Rafe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Florencio Rafe sent off a good shot on target. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Martin Istad in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans-Martin Istad in the 13th minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Masters United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Tristan came free, but Enrique Bologna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Martin Istad in the 15th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Aurre. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Teofilio in the 28th minute of play. Masters United F.C.'s Enrique Bologna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Barbosa in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match Abuba Akotonon FC got a corner. Masters United F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Genaro Elivareo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Abuba Akotonon FC's Cecilio Tristan getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Florencio Rafe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Hugo Orlando Gatti made a huge save. In the 34th minute, Saverio Teofilio made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti. Abuba Akotonon FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 37th minute of the match, Hans-Martin Istad tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Enrique Bologna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Tristan in the 38th minute of play. Hans-Martin Istad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Hugo Orlando Gatti made a huge save. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Aurelio Cuarto with Celso Hotz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Hugo Orlando Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florencio Rafe in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Masters United F.C. were awarded a corner. Anselmo Ted went to the cornerflag to take it. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Martin Istad in the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans-Martin Istad to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Cecilio Tristan could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Enrique Bologna however easily saved by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hans-Martin Istad in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Gatti saved Abuba Akotonon FC from getting behind. A hard shot 64 in the game by Cecilio Tristan from a close distance when the talented Enrique Bologna managed to make a qualified save. Masters United F.C.'s players were relieved. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Martin Istad in the 66th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Masters United F.C.'s corner Anselmo Ted fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hugo Orlando Gatti quite easily take care of the ball. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans-Martin Istad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Masters United F.C.'s goalkeeper Enrique Bologna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Rafe came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Teofilio in the 86th minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Masters United F.C. booed when Abuba Akotonon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Teofilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Vânderson Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vânderson Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Bologna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Masters United F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Abuba Akotonon FC for a fine match.
