The audience thought a goal was coming when Julen Van Landschoot got free with Ernesto Fe in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute Marciano Hondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Fe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ubaldo Gonzales sped through Pildorita Timba Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andres Quinteros. Cavallino Rampante II's Ernesto Fe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Hondo in the 37th minute of play. After 42 minutes Pildorita Timba Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Candido Garin who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Jonas Olivar managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The Cavallino Rampante II fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
