When Cavallino Rampante II's Ivo Oja in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Consejo del Mate's goalie prevented a goal. Luisito Filipo's late challenge caught a Consejo del Mate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when Cavallino Rampante II was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Filipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Cavallino Rampante II were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Consejo del Mate's Peyo Fonelleda was substituted for Vicente Santana. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bolo Bolaño made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Kemen in the 56th minute of play forced Cavallino Rampante II's goalkeeper Ernesto Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 minutes Cavallino Rampante II's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aquiles Cordero who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Hernan Quinton almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cavallino Rampante II's Ernesto Fe did a great save. Ernesto Fe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bolo Bolaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With his leg Hugo Orlando Gatti managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Cavallino Rampante II's Ivo Oja fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Ubaldo Gonzales's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Orlando Gatti was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. 67 minutes into the match, Bolo Bolaño notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cavallino Rampante II's Ernesto Fe. Consejo del Mate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bolo Bolaño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Haroldo Caradaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernan Quinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabian Jarosiewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Hugo Orlando Gatti made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Joaquin Matai got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hugo Orlando Gatti quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
