Gerardo Lordi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Adriano Pappalardo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Santa Margarita booed when chacarita juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Ospin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Erlantz was the one to do the kick off. Osvaldo Erlantz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pontus Nordström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Adriano Pappalardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Lordi in the 59th minute of the match. An extremely disappointing self made goal which led to 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Icardi in the 89th minute of play forced chacarita juniors's goalkeeper Adriano Pappalardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Santa Margarita booed when chacarita juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Ospin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The chacarita juniors supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing chacarita juniors would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
