This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Emilio Tartalo as he didn't even see the shot coming. 37 minutes into the game, Severino Nuxila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abelardo Vistruario's late challenge caught a Atlético Rio Cuarto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelardo Vistruario helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Atlético Rio Cuarto booed when C. A. Balnearia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Vistruario didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tugay Özyurek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Balnearia's Abelardo Vistruario was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, C. A. Balnearia's Abelardo Vistruario got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Angelino Inautzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carlito Sobera fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Balnearia's protests and gave Carlito Sobera a yellow card for diving instead. C. A. Balnearia made a substitution. Mauro Todor replaced Damian Frantzes. After a rather tough play, C. A. Balnearia's Carlito Sobera got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Carlos Eduardo da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Atlético Rio Cuarto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Eduardo da Silveira couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Atlético Rio Cuarto fully deserved thier win.
