Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gervasio Vela got the match started through his kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erubiel Hernandez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Departamento 912's Erubiel Hernandez got control of the ball when Augusto Cordario tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Departamento 912's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cordario came free, but Erubiel Hernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Hernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Erwin Huygens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Departamento 912. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Cordario stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Departamento 912 got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Mon. Domingos Iaki's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Erwin Huygens firmly grabbed it by the left post. Erubiel Hernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Velez Sarsfield's Marcos Pacifico got a free kick in the 60th minute. Departamento 912 made a substitution. Augusto Tiniebra replaced Domingos Iaki. Departamento 912's Jeronimo Manni was substituted for Gervasio Vela. A collision led to Departamento 912 getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jeronimo Manni hit a great ball. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Departamento 912 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jannes Van Dessel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Yiyo Bernal replaced Marcos Pacifico. Velez Sarsfield's Ago Tramp was substituted for Filomeno Montrell. In the 79th minute Augusto Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Hernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Bernhard Ocariz with Augusto Tiniebra as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Erubiel Hernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ago Tramp went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Departamento 912's Erubiel Hernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Pinola in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Departamento 912 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Velez Sarsfield.
