Oshyros ll's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leandro Lucado in the 13th minute. Cristo Pedroso made a great header on Oshyros ll's corner, it was just that Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Oshyros ll booed when Black Rose 1979 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Venceslao didn't get a good kick on the ball. 龚辉适 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Black Rose 1979's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 龚辉适 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Lucado, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 41 minutes into the game, Leandro Lucado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Leandro Lucado came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Oshyros ll fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Lucado couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Karl-Johan Ahlqvist was a little too slow when 龚辉适 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-4. 龚辉适 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made a huge save. Fumo Pocock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo-Nicolás Pérez in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Oshyros ll's 龚辉适 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Johan Ahlqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 龚辉适 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Johan Ahlqvist having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by 龚辉适 in the 82nd minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Ahlqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Davor Šuker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Oshyros ll supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Oshyros ll would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
