Bob Geldof fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Erroman having to interfere. Apolo Erroman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Justino Eusko showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Fleetwood Town's Cristian Mateo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Quinteros in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Quinteros in the 10th minute of play forced Fleetwood Town's goalkeeper Cristian Mateo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Fleetwood Town's Rick Shaw dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 21st minute, Esteve Barto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, La Vieja Guarida FC's goalkeeper Apolo Erroman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rick Shaw. After some careless play in the La Vieja Guarida FC defense, Oğuzer Saye kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apolo Erroman. The La Vieja Guarida FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apolo Erroman should have stopped the shot. Bob Geldof's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Erroman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

In the 52nd minute Rick Shaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Erroman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, La Vieja Guarida FC's Faustino Lizar got a free kick in the 55th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Fleetwood Town's goal looked a bit too open when Feliksas Obrikis came free, but Cristian Mateo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yağızhan Korgan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Cristian Mateo made a huge save. La Vieja Guarida FC's Apolo Erroman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rick Shaw in the 67th minute of play. Cristian Mateo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yağızhan Korgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. La Vieja Guarida FC's Wladyslaw Mikulski was substituted for Zacarias Iigo. La Vieja Guarida FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Raul Quinteros in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Fleetwood Town's goalkeeper Cristian Mateo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yağızhan Korgan. The referee felt a red card was in order, 89 minutes into the game, when Aurelio Diegotxe put in a rough tackle. La Vieja Guarida FC made a substitution. Serafino Francesco replaced Mariusz Chlapowski. In the 88th minute, one of La Vieja Guarida FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La Vieja Guarida FC. After 92 minutes of play, Fleetwood Town's Chukwualuka Okaka Chuka made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apolo Erroman was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the La Vieja Guarida FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fleetwood Town.
