The crowd rose to their feet as SHIZUOKA FC's Sekou Mára slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruperto Maria. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. The supporters of SHIZUOKA FC booed when Salmuera CP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wes Higgins didn't get a good kick on the ball. SHIZUOKA FC's Dário Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hồ Kyhn in the 12th minute of play. Ruperto Maria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Policarpio, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute Pablo Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24thth minute of the game Costin Duca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SHIZUOKA FC's Dário Pinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Policarpio in the 26th minute of play forced Salmuera CP's goalkeeper Ruperto Maria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fan Xing Zhou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Policarpio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Ruperto Maria made a huge save. In the 35th minute SHIZUOKA FC were awarded a corner. Sekou Mára went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to SHIZUOKA FC's Romulo Ledesma getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Dário Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hồ Kyhn in the 36th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Salmuera CP's goalkeeper Ruperto Maria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonello Roccuzzo. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Rogelio Policarpio took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ruperto Maria to make any attempt to save it. SHIZUOKA FC's Dário Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Duca in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 51 minutes, Everardo Hever mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SHIZUOKA FC and the Salmuera CP players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SHIZUOKA FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Everardo Hever hit a great ball. Fan Xing Zhou came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dário Pinho could save by the left post. In the 64th minute of the match Torcuato Herrero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dário Pinho skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fan Xing Zhou got free with Dário Pinho in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, SHIZUOKA FC's Dário Pinho got control of the ball when Pablo Martinez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salmuera CP's goalkeeper Ruperto Maria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Salmuera CP getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Torcuato Herrero hit a great ball. Dário Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hồ Kyhn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hồ Kyhn in the 75th minute of play forced SHIZUOKA FC's goalkeeper Dário Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruperto Maria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Policarpio, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
