An unexpectedly hard shot by Olli Fiedler in the 3rd minute of play forced Loco De Remate's goalkeeper Walmir Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hıdır Namal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Davison having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hıdır Namal in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Davison prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Loco De Remate getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Bruno Medero hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes, Sportivo Luan Toro's Benjamin Sundin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Walmir Catarinense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sportivo Luan Toro reached it. Robert Davison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hıdır Namal, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Walmir Catarinense came out of the goal and Justino Roland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmir Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martins Palermo in the 89th minute of play. If Ricardo Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clodoveo Christobal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robert Davison having to make a save.
