Santiago Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Agustín Rossi made a huge save. Rodolfo Indartsu kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 14th minute of the match Celestiales got a corner. Rebelution's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Declan Rice ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Celestiales's Shi Sha Quan to fire away a dangerous shot which Agustín Rossi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 18 played minutes, Celestiales's Declan Rice shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agustín Rossi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Celestiales reached it. Santiago Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustín Rossi having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Aquiles Telmo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Celestiales's Iker Madrid. Iker Madrid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute Dario Guib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Madrid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Celestiales defense, Dario Guib kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iker Madrid. The Celestiales fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iker Madrid should have stopped the shot. Iker Madrid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Guib in the 27th minute of play. When Rebelution's Oliver Petersson, in the 29th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Rebelution. 31 minutes into the match, Celestiales's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Petersson came free, but Iker Madrid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquiles Telmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Madrid having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Guib in the 42nd minute of play forced Celestiales's goalkeeper Iker Madrid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rebelution's Agustín Rossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Rebelution from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Guib to make the kick off. After 60 minutes Rebelution's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Declan Rice who took care of the corner kick. Celestiales's Declan Rice was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Agustín Rossi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Oliver Peterssons short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Iker Madrid to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dario Guib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Iker Madrid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celestiales made a substitution. Eustaquio Eudoxio replaced Santiago Abreu. Rebelution made a substitution. Chiquito Flores replaced Americo Frascuelo. Rebelution's Frank Teixeira was substituted for Dario Guib. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Eudoxio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eustaquio Eudoxio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Eudoxio in the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to Celestiales getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Mateo Gabino hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Frank Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Madrid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celestiales's Iker Madrid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Celestiales from getting a goal against them. The Celestiales supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rebelution's performance. The match ended with a win for Rebelution.
