Scott Mallaby's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Chaz Smart skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The attack was good, but when Scott Mallaby in the 10th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Vincent Milner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincent Milner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Timsbury booed when Blackburn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvester Bryden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perry Foreman scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joe Lynam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dale Preston in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chaz Smart prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christian Mortimer kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Tommy Cheesman led 36 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Timsbury's Chaz Smart became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-1. If Perry Foreman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Timsbury's goalkeeper Chaz Smart, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Perry Foreman made a kick off. After having played for 58 minutes, Dale Preston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blackburn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dale Preston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 60 played minutes Timsbury got a freekick which was hit by Stewart Alderson. Tommy Cheesman shot a long shot in the 61st minute and a light blocked Chaz Smart hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-1. 70 minutes into the match, Timsbury's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Preston came free, but Chaz Smart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 70 minutes of play, Blackburn's Dale Preston made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chaz Smart was left in no man's land by his defense there! Blackburn were furious when Freddie Sutton was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Joe Lynam went to the wrong direction when Stewart Alderson was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Christian Mortimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bill Deaconsfield in the 85th minute of play forced Timsbury's goalkeeper Chaz Smart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Timsbury's goal looked a bit too open when Scott Mallaby came free, but Chaz Smart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Timsbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Craig Boatman to maneuver through the defense. Scott Mallaby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Chaz Smart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot by Christian Mortimer from long distance, 93 minutes into the match, got Joe Lynam's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Perry Foreman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blackburn's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
