Black Country AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grant Millman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dale Croxford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 18 in the game by Grant Millman from a close distance when the talented Ricky Kessler managed to make a qualified save. Oadby United's players were relieved. If Mickey Frost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricky Kessler was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mickey Frost showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. With a little luck, Oadby United's Ricky Kessler got control of the ball when Rueben Milton tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute Dale Croxford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dion Hammond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Black Country AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chaz Rider was slow to take the kick. During this time Oadby United's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Oadby United's corner Chaz Rider fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dion Hammond quite easily take care of the ball. Ricky Kessler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grant Millman went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Black Country AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dale Croxford 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. If Philip Holyfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dion Hammond was a little too slow when Dale Croxford got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 2-2. Dale Croxford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dion Hammond having to interfere. After 76 minutes, Robbie Crittenden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oadby United and the Black Country AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Robbie Crittenden kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Tosh Argent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chaz Rider was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oadby United's goalkeeper Ricky Kessler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Black Country AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Philip Holyfield scored to the left of an out of position Dion Hammond, making the score, 2-3. Philip Holyfield could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Dion Hammond made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Oadby United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
