The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Braunton's goal looked a bit too open when Vinnie Neville came free, but Keiran Wishart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Summerfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th match minute, Braunton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamie Waller to maneuver through the defense. Zak Pullen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Lewington in the 14th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Braunton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Rawson to maneuver through the defense. Charles Beaver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Zak Pullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zak Pullen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 48 minutes, Vinnie Neville managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sutton on Sea AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinnie Neville was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 56th minute James Lewington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zak Pullen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Beaver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zak Pullen having to interfere. Keiran Wishart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Summerfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Charles Beaver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Zak Pullen made a huge save. Braunton's James Lewington got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vinnie Neville had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Denis Summerfield notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Braunton's Keiran Wishart. Keiran Wishart was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling James Lewington in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zak Pullen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Charles Beaver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Braunton's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Beaver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zak Pullen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. James Lewington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zak Pullen having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Sutton on Sea AFC's goal looked a bit too open when James Lewington came free, but Zak Pullen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
