In the 13thth minute of the game Jordan Downes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Egham AFC's Harvey Oldham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jordan Downes had several of the Egham AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Harvey Oldham as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Egham AFC booed when Farnham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Blackwell didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Don Paget got free with Harvey Oldham in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute, Sidney Goodall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lee Radcliffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Emberson, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 played minutes Farnham got a freekick which was hit by Warren Ellerton. In the 50th minute Egham AFC were awarded a corner. Brandon Naylor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Brandon Naylor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Farnham's Lee Radcliffe did a great save. A hard and well directed shot from Brandon Naylor led 50 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Farnham's Lee Radcliffe became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jordan Downes made a kick off. After 55 played minutes Farnham got a freekick which was hit by Warren Ellerton. Egham AFC's Harvey Oldham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Ellerton in the 57th minute of play. Brandon Naylor, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alex Emberson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lee Radcliffe having to interfere. Warren Ellerton charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Warren Ellerton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th match minute, Farnham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Warren Ellerton to maneuver through the defense. In the 100thth minute of the game Sidney Goodall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Farnham's Lee Radcliffe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Farnham were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Egham AFC for a fine match.
