After a rather tough play, Pottarnir's Herjólfur Kormáksson got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Hróðvar Dagfinnsson charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hróðvar Dagfinnsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Kuggur Garðabæ's zone, Mathías Dalmarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathías Dalmarsson couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heilmóður Hjálmtýsson in the 24th minute of play forced Kuggur Garðabæ's goalkeeper Fengur Haraldsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathías Dalmarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fengur Haraldsson having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 28th minute when Max Dalmarsson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 31 played minutes Kuggur Garðabæ got a freekick which was hit by Alfreð Hilmirsson. A collision led to Pottarnir getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Geirhvatur Þorkelsson hit a great ball. Kuggur Garðabæ's Fengur Haraldsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heilmóður Hjálmtýsson in the 40th minute of play. Fengur Haraldsson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Pottarnir's Heilmóður Hjálmtýsson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Örlaugur Laufarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentínus Óðinsson to make the kick off. Mathías Dalmarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fengur Haraldsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fengur Haraldsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heilmóður Hjálmtýsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kuggur Garðabæ's Fengur Haraldsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathías Dalmarsson in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Valentínus Óðinsson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mathías Dalmarsson struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Fengur Haraldsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pottarnir. When Herjólfur Kormáksson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. Max Dalmarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Þorsteinn Ásgrímsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pottarnir's Geirhvatur Þorkelsson got a free kick in the 70th minute. Valentínus Óðinsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Þorsteinn Ásgrímsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Valentínus Óðinsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 72nd minute. Max Dalmarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heilmóður Hjálmtýsson hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the game, Max Dalmarsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Þorsteinn Ásgrímsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mathías Dalmarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
