Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Namo Reykholti's Þormundur Ísólfsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fjörnir Galdursson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gunnleifur Andrason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute Fjörnir Galdursson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristinn Sigmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Finnjón Freysson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Gustavsson having to interfere. Kristinn Sigmundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnleifur Andrason, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Ljúfur Valgarðsson fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stiki Garði's protests and gave Ljúfur Valgarðsson a yellow card for diving instead. Namo Reykholti's Hraunar Jóhannsson managed to work through Stiki Garði's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Hraunar Jóhannsson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Fjörnir Galdursson got free in front of the goal in the 19th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Kristinn Sigmundsson was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stiki Garði's goalkeeper Erling Gustavsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fjörnir Galdursson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Kristinn Sigmundsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Namo Reykholti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandel Sverrisson to maneuver through the defense. Þormundur Ísólfsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Namo Reykholti's goalkeeper Kristinn Sigmundsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fjörnir Galdursson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Stiki Garði booed when Namo Reykholti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finnjón Freysson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gunnleifur Andrason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fjörnir Galdursson to strike the kick off in the second half. Þormundur Ísólfsson scored 1-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erling Gustavsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Kristinn Sigmundsson managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Stiki Garði's Gunnleifur Andrason fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stiki Garði's Gunnleifur Andrason got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Namo Reykholti's goalkeeper Kristinn Sigmundsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gunnleifur Andrason. In the 69th minute Fjörnir Galdursson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristinn Sigmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Stiki Garði's zone, Þormundur Ísólfsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erling Gustavsson came out of the goal and Þormundur Ísólfsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kolskeggur Ómarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Gunnleifur Andrason hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Þormundur Ísólfsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stiki Garði players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Namo Reykholti.
