Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vikar Eðvarsson started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Stjá Kjörvogi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jómar Ingason to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 5 minutes, Ellert Þorvaldsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mark Suðureyri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ellert Þorvaldsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute, Þórlaugur Kalmannsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ingibjartur Jósefsson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Stjá Kjörvogi's goal looked a bit too open when Vikar Eðvarsson came free, but Addi Kalmannsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Stjá Kjörvogi's goalkeeper Addi Kalmannsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ellert Þorvaldsson. Vikar Eðvarsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Addi Kalmannsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After some careless play in the Mark Suðureyri defense, Hlíðberg Geraldsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mekkinó Þrándsson. The Mark Suðureyri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mekkinó Þrándsson should have stopped the shot. Rannver Benediktsson kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Mark Suðureyri's Mekkinó Þrándsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hlíðberg Geraldsson in the 45th minute of play. If Ellert Þorvaldsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Hlíðberg Geraldsson got free with Mekkinó Þrándsson in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Mark Suðureyri booed when Stjá Kjörvogi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Múli Valdimarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mekkinó Þrándsson made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Múli Valdimarsson sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Guðjón Jafetsson took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Mekkinó Þrándsson to make any attempt to save it. Vikar Eðvarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Addi Kalmannsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hlíðberg Geraldsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mekkinó Þrándsson could save by the left post. After 75 played minutes Mark Suðureyri got a freekick which was hit by Ingibjartur Jósefsson. Hlíðberg Geraldsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mekkinó Þrándsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guðjón Jafetsson in the 81st minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Mark Suðureyri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esra Daníelsson to maneuver through the defense. Guðjón Jafetsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mekkinó Þrándsson having to interfere. Mekkinó Þrándsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guðjón Jafetsson in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stjá Kjörvogi eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
