Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kristgeir Hlynsson started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Fákanes Grímsey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Einvarður Ljótsson to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Maríusarson during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Albert Maríusarson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Edvin Hálfdánsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Júlíusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Árgeir Smárason having to interfere. Allan Júlíusson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Árgeir Smárason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Allan Júlíusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th minute, Margrímur Hallsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Fákanes Grímsey getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Barri Elmarsson hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Vaxta Kópaskeri's Starkaður Hauksson tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Þorgarður Þórsson in the 30th minute of play forced Fákanes Grímsey's goalkeeper Hljómur Nikulásson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Árgeir Smárason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Einvarður Ljótsson in the 33rd minute of play. Albert Maríusarson kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Kristgeir Hlynsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Árgeir Smárason having to interfere. Kolur Böðvarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th match minute, Fákanes Grímsey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hlini Reynisson to maneuver through the defense. Kolur Böðvarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hljómur Nikulásson having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Þorgarður Þórsson made a kick off. A collision led to Vaxta Kópaskeri getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Edvin Hálfdánsson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Vaxta Kópaskeri's Margrímur Hallsson got a free kick in the 60th minute. Vaxta Kópaskeri's Árgeir Smárason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Einvarður Ljótsson in the 67th minute of play. If Allan Júlíusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hljómur Nikulásson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Þorgarður Þórsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Þorgarður Þórsson took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hljómur Nikulásson. Hljómur Nikulásson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Árgeir Smárason made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Allan Júlíusson sent off a good shot on target. Starkaður Hauksson kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Árgeir Smárason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barri Elmarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan Júlíusson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Árgeir Smárason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vaxta Kópaskeri's Árgeir Smárason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Einvarður Ljótsson in the 86th minute of play. Fákanes Grímsey's Allan Júlíusson got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Vaxta Kópaskeri getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Albert Maríusarson hit a great ball. In the 91st match minute, Vaxta Kópaskeri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvin Hálfdánsson to maneuver through the defense. Fákanes Grímsey's Hljómur Nikulásson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kolur Böðvarsson in the 97th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Vaxta Kópaskeri were victorious despite being under pressure from Fákanes Grímsey for much of the match.
